The Alaska Highway is open year round.

I drive the Alaska Highway and Stewart-Cassiar year-round. Snow can happen almost any time, though it melts very quickly until mid-September usually - after that anything can happen.

In September be prepared for snow. This snow usually melts in a day or two though. In 2007, a snow storm that turned to a ice storm made conditions very dicey around Fort Nelson and Fort St John during the third week of September.
We've RVed the Alaska Highway twice in December and it was very driveable, roads were well maintained, but you must be comfy with variable conditions. Also need to be prepared to endure -40 temps if you do it in December.

Thanks all. I guess pulling a lite TT in the winter would mean winterizing it and not using the onboard water..You'd need a good heater tho Ha!.
