We are planning a week at Hunting Island State Park in early October. I wonder if anyone can give me an idea about the weather there at that time of the year. Also, is there cell phone coverage and TV reception via antennae there? Thanks for any info.

We were just there in July. Can't help you with the weather in October, but cell phone service is fairly good. I had to go to the beach a couple of times when the weather was iffy to get better service tho.
TV reception using the digital converter box and rooftop antenna was great. We have Dish satellite and couldn't get a signal. Hope this helps.

For Beaufort:
October average high is 77 F
October average low is 58 F

Data is from Weatherbase

Weather Underground has similar highs and lows.

Only been there in Mar/Apr, so can't help on weather, but though a little remote, it is one of our favorite parks. Great beach!

October in SC is like any where down here. Could be very nice, Especially at the first, or could be chilly, But not too cold to enjoy. Do keep an eye on the tropical weather forcasts, as thet is still hurricane season.

And the sand fleas, although that's getting late in their bad season.
