We visited some friends at a rv park a few weeks ago, and I noticed the campers next site over had cable locked bicycles, table, and BBQ grille.
In all the years we've been camping, I've never considered locking up anything except the fiver door when we leave.

Has anyone out there ever had their things stolen from the camp site?

Never had anything stolen from my campsite yet but I do cable lock the bikes if we plan to leave the campground for an extended period of time.

Yes - 2 axes about 15 years ago in a Provincial Park. We still leave everything lying around unsecured.

I had 2 rods and reels stolen out of the back of the truck while camping in a NFS campground, so everything gets looked up now. Unfortunately you can't trust anybody anymore.

Just the bikes when we are away....but, if someone really wanted to take them they could probably easily do so.

Yes we lock up everything. A few years ago my neighbor pulled into a camp site, I don't know where anymore, but as he was unloading he got talking to the people at the next site who were packing up to leave, very nice people. Sometime after they had left another couple pulls up , and the guy comes running over to my neighbor wanting to know where all his stuff was. The first group that was so friendly and in no apparent hurry had cleaned them out, taken everything, tent chairs, stove, everything. It takes nerve but it's done.

Our traveling group of 4 or 5 RV's has had several incidents, including even BBQ grills - we lock up everything or watch it - We've even had some from outside the park (locals) cross the lake, load their boats up and then take off (only on the rarest of occasions do the cops even care, but some times they actually catch a couple of them) - unfortunate, but it will only get worse in the future in my opinion - the thiefs of course, are now the victims

Just the door if we're going away. In over 30 years we have never had anything taken while camping. We have been broken into once at the storage lot but the maintenance man scared them off before they got anything, other than a couple of damaged storage door locks.
