Ace,
I too own a Honda Ridgeline and you are right, it is rated to pull 5000 lbs. A "Lite" trailer in your case should not exceed the tow limitation of your truck when fully loaded. That being said, the trailer must weigh less than the tow limit of your Ridgeline so there is capacity left for your gear.
We have friends who tow a trailer that weighs 4500lbs. empty and they have no trouble at all. The Ridgeline is a great truck!

The Ridge is a very capable TV. You may be surprised to see what Ridgeline owners are happily towing with them. The IRS really helps these kinds of vehicles. The new Dodge Ram has followed suit and it too now has IRS upgrade.

Also, keep in mind that the weight listed by most manufacturers usually does not include the weight of the propane tanks, batteries or FW tank.

I look at it this way, weight limits are there for a reason. Once you add food, propane, firewood, clothes etc. You will exceede the weght limit. The type of hitch will not increase your towing capacity. If you value safety as well as your TV then why jepordize either in the long run.

Hensley is pretty heavy. YOu'll be even MORE overweight if you put one on the truck. The reason for the rating has NOTHING to do with the hitch it's your warranty you'll be playing with. Good luck / Skip

Are you sure that you will need the Hensley ? How long is the trailer that you are looking at ?
Every TT/TV combo is unique and yours could do just fine without the advanced hitch.

Exceeding any of the posted limits of the vehicle can have consequences. Be certain you know and understand what they are.
