It's a 2 bike carrier. I copied a Yakima design where the bike just drops in and is held by the tires. A little strap around the rear wheel's rim is all it takes to keep it all secure.

It looks really nice. I do have a couple of concerns regarding placement.
1. The bugs love the front of the 5er when traveling. I wouldn't want my bike or bike cover covered with bugs.
2. The front of the 5er also gets the most wind pressure against it. Hopefully everything there is nice and secure.
3. I hope it does not interfere with the turning of the truck and 5er
I have my bike securely mounted on the back of my 5er and with a bike cover it stays nice and clean. I can access it easily and when parked at a site it is easy to store my bike after each ride.

It doesn't show in the picture but the carrier's mounted to a receiver hitch on the pinbox of the camper. So if I want to take only the bikes with the truck the carrier can mount to the back of the truck. That'll be better than putting the bikes up in the bed with the 5th wheel hitch.
As to the 3 points Marin mentioned.
1. I've heard the back of the camper is actually dirtier with the dirt & dust swirling around. The bugs are a given, but at least whatever hits the bikes I won't have to clean off of the front of the camper. I have a motorcycle on the front of the truck, and I've actually stopped at rest areas and cleaned the bugs off of my cycle! I use Meguier's NXT wax and it really helps with bug guts removal.
2. My wife says I overbuild everything. Maybe so. I can climb on the bike rack, it may help me with cleaning the bugs off of the front of the camper. I'm pretty sure that carrier would withstand the 5 mph crash test.
3. Big source of controversy between me and said wife. I've measured and figured to the best of my ability, but have yet to hitch up the camper and try it. I told my wife it's her job to check clearances and on the first corner she could be screaming at me "There's a bicycle in the back seat!"

I built a pin box bike rack that has been on two rigs now. Here is a picture of mine. I had them about that high, but have lowered them about six inches now. They clear the cab of a long bed truck without a problem. This location gives one something to look at in the windshield mounted mirror while towing.
I have two bike front axle quick mounts on the back of my truck bed storage box for bobtailing about with the bikes. Rear wheels set on the vbox and bikes clear the 5th wheel hitch.
