Sammy's Bar BQ in Borger, Tx has a unique dish that is absolutely wonderful
He used to scoop his trimmings into a big pot of beans and sell it off it quart at a time calling it "Bean Special"

The bean special got bigger than anything else. Now he makes them on purpose with the good stuff and just throws the trimmings away. They were GOOD when he made them from trimmings. You wouldn't believe how good they are with prime meat chopped up in them.

Ain't no better single meal on earth than a Sammy's Bean Special.

Tiny little worn out brick building on a side street thats hard to find. You can smell the smoke 8 blocks away. It'll drive you nutts looking for it.

Now, THATS a Bar BQ joint!

Woody Creek in Springtown, TX---really good.

Also, Zack's in Hotchkiss, CO. Not the 'official name' but everyone has just always called it Zack's. It's our personal favorite, probably because that is where we are from & ate there a LOT. He also has a really great breakfast.

If the county fair is not going on you can camp in the fairgrounds for $6.00 with elec.---if I remember right there is water available. It is walking distance to Zacks.

If any of you are visiting Yosemite, or just in the area of the California Central Valley, stop by the QN4U BBQ house. Brent and Kim are wonderful people, and make pretty mean BBQ. Many time CBBQA Team of the Year, have also won contests in other states as well.
They have the usual Brisket, Pulled Pork, Ribs, etc., but they also have a Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog that is killer!
If you are heading that way, call ahead of time and ask if they will have their Beef Ribs on the menu. Very good.
Tell Brent and Kim that Bill Keyes said "Hey".
QN4U BBQ House
Enjoy.

To find great food, try yelp.com and search by city and food type.

Not everyone has the same tastes or opinions but it helps sometimes!

Went to a place that was highly recommended by a few different people this past weekend in San Antonio, TX called Rudy's. My family and I thought it blew and wouldn't recommend it to serious bbq lovers.

Bar-B-Cutie in Smyrna, TN
Bar-B-Cutie
The best barbeque i've ever had. I'm also not big on fried okra, but I loved theirs. This one is at a Shell truck stop, so there is plenty of parking for your rig.
