Bubbles have formed under the wallpaper on the ceiling of our Jayco 23b. The bubbles are dry when you pop them and there is no indication of a ceiling leak. Has anyone else experienced this? What causes this?

Don't be so sure there's no water. This is often a sign of high moisture in the wall/roof panel. There is a current thread on the same issue in the TT side. Is this near the AC or any openings?

I had a similar situation occur on my ceiling on my 23B Jayco. I was told by the dealer that this was a problem all maufacturers had with that roof and it was caused by moisture. Out of warranty by 2 months, I contacted my dealer who in turn contacted the Jayco company. Jayco authorized a complete roof replacement at no costs to me. I used the camper for the camping season and then took it to the dealer for the replacement. I had heard about what a good company Jayco was prior to buying the 23b and their action on the replacement has made me a Jayco owner from now on. Give your dealer a try. If you get no action contact the Jayco company directly. You have nothing to lose and hopefully a repair to gain. Good luck.

I had a similar issue last year. The AC was never correctly mounted and JayCo did a complete roof replacement as the ceiling and roof are laminated panels.
It started out looking like some grit under the ceiling paper. I removed a speaker when I noticed it spreading and found the back rusty. After contacting the dealer and getting JayCo to authorize the repair we headed to Disney through a hurricane when I noticed the area was staining. It took the dealer about a week to do the repair once they had the materials.
Good luck

Same situation here. it was a roof leak. We are taking our unit to Indiana to have the work done since our dealer has a terrible service department.

Get hold of Jayco asap about your situation.

Yup, same here on my 23B I got rid of early this year. Had the TPO roof and it leaked in around the air conditioner. Had bad delamination on the roof as well. The ceiling paper looked like it had dry spaghetti noodles under it as well as larger bubbles.

some of the older Jaycos had the TPO roofs and lots of them had water intrusion problems, not just their hybrids.

i seem to remember Jayco was working with those owners in resolving the problem.

What does a new roof cost for a Jayco 23B?

Probably about a grand or so in material. It's a single piece of laminated structure, so it'd be the shipping and labor to install that would put you up above 3K to replace.

If you need this type of repair I suggest you contact the factory for any possible assistance and ask if they would be willing to do the repair at the factory?
