I was doing a few small jobs in our new trailer this evening and had 1 ceiling light on because it was dark outside. Well the wife came out to talk to me and was pretty upset and said the shades don't do anything. I we out and looked at the window where she was at and she is right. It would not leave much to your imagination. Has anyone else had this problem and how have you solved it? Thanks.

so is it the day /lighter shades you are upset about or the heavier shades that have you upset ??

We have no issues with the heavoer shade, but the lighter ones at night do not do anything for modest folks

They don't really bother me but the wife isn't crazy about them. I would say they are the light ones. One step thicker than tissue paper.

If it is shadow puppets she is referring to then pull the other section of the day night shade down as well. The day part lets light in, the night part, well keeps the night out.

Same here, the day part of the shades are just that - for DAY use. Put a 12V bright light behind you and your the nightly park entertainment!!!! Once the "NIGHT" part of the shades goes down no one can see into the trailer.

Don't your's operate like this?

Am I missing something here? We have one set of light weight folding shades on ever window. What's the deal with night shades?

Our shades are day/night, but are all one unit per window. The day shades pull down, but if you reach up again & pull down, the darker part of the shade continues down.

We have found that, if you are back-lit, your shadows do still show up outside through the night shade, so truly modest folks may want to make sure not to be back-lit when doing, er - embarassing things.

We have nothing like that. Just one folding shade that pulls up and down. ?????????

I just bought a new fifth wheel in August and had never seen the day/night shades. I was very disappointed until I realized that there was another shade above the light shades. If you have the day/night shades there will be another pull bar (looks like the top of the shade) at the top with fabric on top of that. Just pull the bar down to reveal the night shades. Mine are a little hard to pull down but they are there.
