We cover ours for two reasons:

1. As noted rain, leaves, and adds a layer of protection. Many of us garage our trucks and they are more then capable of staying out in the elements, why not the RV"?

2. Sun, and UV rays are very hard on the seals, caulking, rubber items, etc. so we find our TT looks better and replace less parts.

Happy Trails

We're brand new to HTT's but I know the sun eats everything in our part of the country. I was thinking of getting a cover but now I'm wondering about the issue some have mentioned about doing damage while covering it. We can camp all year so it would be off & on more than in places where you winterize a trailer.

Is there more risk than benefit when you consider the UV damage we get here? Use waxes & sealants?

Choice is yours however, I have seen NO damage and my TT has been covered for 5 seasons. Where it is parked out in open with wind, rain, snow (not often) and direct sun hit the TT. Not sure how they are getting damage but with a good cover I am not experiencing any wear or other problems.

Best of luck on your decision
