We are fulltimers now for ten years and have been work-camping as volunteers for site now for most of the time on the road. I would invite you to visit the site found in my signature as it has a page with pictures and descriptions on each of the 24 different places that we have worked.

I think one of the best we have read consistently is RVDreams They have workamped at some great locations and their blog is very concise in financials, activities and other details.
I think sometimes we forget that the freedoms we have are freedoms not because of celebrities. The freedoms are because of ordinary people who did extraordinary things, who loved this country more than life itself.

Yes, completely agree. Go to their forum and read some of the experiences. I have found many good people over the years. The only problem at this time with workamper.com is that there are way more available workers than there are jobs. So, if you decide to join, be creative with your resume and send out to every park in the area that you are interested in....don't wait for an ad or hotline, just send with a picture of yourself and rig, either snail mail or e mail. If you wait for them to advertise, there are WAY too many for them to choose from.

Hi guys thats why I don't use workcamper. There are atleast 3 other sites with more work camp jobs then workcampers. Try happyvagabonds.com or rvparkstore.com and look for the help wanted ads. There are new ads on there almost every other day. Been workcamping 3 years now and never had issue on a place to work camp and never had to pay for it either. My current workcamp job is awesome only 2 weekends per month in the office for the full hookup. Water, sewer, electric. wi-fi, 70 channels of cable. To clean the bathrooms pays 100 a week, to cut grass goes a 75, to weed eat the park is another 50. All depends on how much I want to work. Couldn't be better. Good luck in your search for work camp positions. If anyne is interested in the mountains of north georgia near cleveland and south of hiawasse. I know of a park that is in need of a workcamper. The owner caled and ask if I was available.

As for blogs the RVDreams is probably one of the best and they have made their site a great way to help folks just starting out. We use several workamping sites including workamper news. They now have a new site calledworkamper dreamersthat has a lot of info as well. We are jumping in to full timing earlier than most. We are just waiting for the house to sell and then we will be full time. WooHoo. Why wait until 2013 when you can enjoy the lifestyle now, even if you are not fully retired.
