Planning a winter trip to the grand canyon--any suggestions for the nicest parks for larger coaches?

For South Rim it's the Grand Canyon RR Campground in Williams, AZ. Stay there and take the train up for a three hour layover which is plenty of time to take a bunch of photos but not enough time for hiking.
You could also search this Forum in RV Parks for Grand Canyon.

Stay at Trailer village as we did. It's in the park and close to everything including the bus line. Not a pretty park, we didn't see any RV parks that looked exciting. A one day trip taking the train is ok but after 3 days, ugh.

I would go to Williams and drive the dinghy to the Park (about 45 minutes). In winter no problems touring all the viewpoints with the truck.
The train, IMHO, is way over priced and you have little time to tour the views - not sure the shuttles run in winter.

Agreed - the village. HOWEVER, drop the train ride and drive. Train was BORING. Have been to the canyon a number of times, including the mules to te bottom. With the drive, you can (read must) stop at the IMAX theater. Absolutely fascinating.
