Did ya ever have FT'er friends get mad and non communicative with you simply because you decide to "summer" and "winter" in different states than they do?

I know it sounds stupid IF it hasn't happen to you but suspect, if it has, you know exactly what I am talking about.

We'll see ya...................

Somebody who gets that upset isn't a friend.

Nope, I don't have so called friends like that...Matter of fact that is one of the reasons we go solo all the time... I always say, "well if we make down/up where your at, we'll look you up.. No conflict that way..

You can't please everybody all the time. They'll either get over it or they wont.

I'll add that to the list of "ways to ruin friendships":
-Live together
-work together
-do business
-go camping

We've had "friends" who got tiffed because we bought a fifth wheel instead of a motorhome like theirs!

I've lost several friends due to the nature of the job in the military, but never over something like where to camp. I wish life was that simple.

We don't have any F/T friends. Most of our friends don't even have RV's...however when we decided to begin F/T a lot of people at our church couldn't understand this decision. Due to the fact that our grown kids live in the same town, we return every few months and go to church here again. Even our pastor seems to look his nose down on our lifestyle as if we can't possibly be "doing enough" to aid the poor and down trodden because we live and travel in our MH. DH and I took care of 3 ailing parents from 1993 until 2007 and could not travel much in our RV. So, when those duties were finished we did not look back. We feel like this is our time now, to enjoy a lifestyle we desire. We took up the F/T lifestyle and inspite of what others may think....too bad for them. We're loving this new life!
