I am trying to find a state, federal or private location that might have a dump station open as late as Thanksgiving in the Muskegon, Grand Haven Michigan area. I don't need water really just a place to dump black and gray tanks. Any help would be greatly appreciated

How about Grand Haven State Park? The Michigan DNR website does not indicate closed dates.

Grand Haven State Park closes before Thanksgiving Day as does their dump station etc. I noticed it was still open and a MH was dumping last evening though. The park/dump station usually closes about the first week or second week in November due to some below freezing temps at night that would freeze the water in the waterlines and cause damage. I'll check to see if I can find a place for you to dump in the area.
We added an RV dump outlet 3" line to our septic tank for winter dumping years ago. We have our own septic system as sewer lines do not pass us. Ours is just like the CG's have except it's below the ground surface and you can't hardly see it unless you step on the cover. Cost around a whopping $22 and only took a couple hours to do. About an 8' run to the septic tank and has a "level with the ground" green painted walmanized box cover that's a 3/4" plywood lift off top so it can be driven over without damage if such would happen. Totally legal and still is as I had sought to get a permit to do so and was advised there is no laws or regulation for or against it being done and used. Just cannot leave the sewer line open when not being used and no other buildings/sewer systems can be attached to it.
We know several in the West Michigan area who have added a sewer dump opening to their city sewer line within their homes which is accessed right from their driveway and hence their RV's. My father-in-law was one of them and he lived right in Roosevelt Park on Leif a few hundred feet from the Mona Shores city line. He's passed on now though. The dump heads are usually placed close to the ground going thru the basement wall or in the ground just ahead of or behind the basement foundation ends if city sewer systems are connected to. Most have a hinged flap cover or a cover of some kind over the threaded sewer line cap so it isn't so obvious and/or an eyesore. A few have put them inside their garage thru the basement wall or thru the foundation wall if no basement. Then, no one ever sees that it's even there. Rinse the hose outside after use from an outside water spigot on the lawn etc. That's just what you do at a full hookup CG site! Very simple and so cheap to install your own and it's usable 365 days a year. Problem totally solved....

Have you called the local treatment plants or one of the portable toilet companies about how much to come pump you out.

Thanks for the info and great ideas. I will check the feasibility of all of them. I would love to add my own dump in the city line but I live in a condo and the driveway is considered "common ground" - I will have to followup on that. I will also call the campground in Allendale to see if they have a dump open; if not there is a portable toilet company close I will call and see what is possible. Thanks again for all the ideas and info.

Also check any large truck stops you might have in the area. Some of the trucks now days have a small bathroom and they need to dump.
