Hi all. I'm looking for any info I can find regarding class B Frieghtliner RV's. My father is looking at a 2003 that looks very nice and at a good price. It looks alot like a van conversion but I've never seen one. I'm a 5er man myself. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Happy camping to all!!!

Class B Freightliner RVs are Mercedes Benz Sprinters. The early ones until about 2004 were mostly all badged Freightliner. After 2004 most were badged Dodge and some Freightliner. No matter what, they are Mercedes Benz and the only differences are emblem badges and grills. A lot of converters use the Sprinter including all the major converters such as Pleasure-Way, Roadtrek, LTV (Leisure Travel Vans), Great West Vans, Airstream, etc. In 2003 LTV was converting them. Roadtrek and Airstream were not. I'm not sure when the others started converting them.

The Sprinter vans in that year came in 140" and 170". For van conversion, mostly they used the 170" 2500, which have single tires in the back. For Class C, they used the 3500 cab chassis. He should be looking at 20+ mpg.
