I can never rely on my tank sensors to give an accurate reading and I was searching for a solution out there. I came across a replacement sensor call a Horst Miracle probe http://www.horstmiracleprobes.com/index.php that seems to be a logical and simple solution. I am simply wondering if anyone has replaced their sensors with these and do they work as advertised?

Thanks

Phil

They have to be better, but I would not expect even those to work perfectly all the time. If they do, I might change mine.

I use this tank chemical and it seems to keep the tank and sensors clean.

i bought the black tank ones then figured out it will be more of a mod than i planned. can't get to the original sensors(right up against the frame) so i need to extend the scensor leads and measure/drill new holes on opposite side of tank. that will end up being the 1st project of the spring.
after all this time of using the 'visual down the hole' method, don't know weather i'd really use it all that much-but the DW does--knew i should have never taught her how to use the monitor system

I use the monitor system to check the battery and propane. Other than that, I ignore it.
Generally, when the fresh water runs out, it is time to get out of the woods, refill the fresh water, and dump the holding tanks.
Almost always, when hooked up to a continuous water supply, I am also hooked up to sewer, so no problem.
Over the years, through owning or using 6 different RVs, I never had sensors that worked. If I did get them to working, it only lasted one or two fill-ups at best.
I ignore them. I don't need the stress.
