Try Odo-Ban. Rule #1, don't fry in the rv. We always use an electric skillet outside to do any frying. If it's too cold to do that, we eat out!!

buy some X-O and get rid of the smell once and for all. I buy my big bottle from QVC. I use the stuff in every thing, I just shampooed my house carpet today and used it in the cleaning water. Makes the house smell good.

If by "smell of oil" you mean the smell of Tacos, then leave the Taco smell. We men would like that over the lavender, pumpkin spice, orange blast or what the heck ever other smell comes in a bottle. Unless you get steak scented.

Thank you to all the helpful input. At home, I don't seem to have the odor after frying tacos. The entire stove area was wiped down well with 409. Unfortunately we were boondocking so I couldn't plug in the skillet outside but I suppose I could've done that off the generator. I'll be airing it out to see if that helps. Our RV too has always smelled new till this episode, and we've had it since January 2006. Thanks again.

No, it is more like old oil and come to think of it it was, it was oil that I had used for taco frying before. I bet that is the problem. Had I used fresh oil it probably would not be smelling now. Let that be a lesson to you all!

We do use the oven alot.
I think airing it out, even if it is cold outside will help the most.
We have a propane stove, as well as a separate propane grill we use outside. We never cook inside, though we do occasionally heat water for coffee or tea when boondocking. The coach still smells new inside after three years and 26,000 miles.
