These past 14 months while we have been touring the nation, we have picked up either a commercial campground business card or have gotten something with the name, address and phone number from the registration staff whenever we have registered.
This has been inserted in where our driver's license is in our wallets. Kinda figure that in the event we are in an auto accident that this will give the local law enforcement personnel a local address for us. We have hoped that this way the campground might be notified to give them a "heads up".
I know I read this somewhere last year and just wanted to share.

Good idea.
Next step - epoxy your wallet to your thigh. Just in case. Makes for a good conversation starter at pot lucks too.

I think I equate this to the 9-1-1 personnel who have said that everyone should attach a note with their home address to their telephones in their homes.
In an emergency one does have a tendency to not remember their address! We just thought this would be a similar "heads up" - also at the end of some of our days, remembering the address of where we are staying is sometimes stressful, thus another eliminator of that stress.
Several years ago as I lay injured on the floor of our home talking with 9-1-1, it sure helped me get the EMTs there quicker.
I know they now say they can locate you via the expensive Emergency Centers, but I would not count on that!
