I don't think it was altered . I have a 66 brochure that shows that floor plan , it was called " Custom Front Dinette". The other two were Deluxe Goucho and Custom Side Dinette.

Hey DJ, thank you very much for checking that out! Your kindness is much appreciated!
I was wondering if that dolly was just a frame or the frame had a deck on top which would prohibit seeing it from the bottom and if the floor was spongy or not.
Regarding the widow-makers … oops, I mean jacks, I know exactly what you are talking about! I know a guy that had those for a small slide-in that fit in his Datsun pickup (a rig that would instantly stop the heart of the most liberal members of the weight police but it worked well as was a really cool little rig, especially for its day in the mid seventies!) and they were very-scary when lifting that to say the least! I can only imagine using something like that for lifting a much bigger and heavier camper.

The above picture looks like it has the two rings that the old style swing-up jacks slid into when they were in the up position. Do you remember those jacks (the kind that were mounted to the camper and you would take out one of the two bolts which would allow them to swing up for travel)? Did it look like that’s what those rings are for? I am wondering if it originally had them and they are missing.
Another thing, did you notice many dings/dents or other damage to the outside skin?
This is still a possibility if they are willing to move on price and if they will, and I can work it out, I will fly up for the day pending they can get it lifted so I can check out the floor and see it from underneath. If this happens I would be glad to buy lunch!
Also, this would need to be stored for a few months, likely till spring when I can get my truck which is in WI. Any ideas on a reasonably priced lot near you where I don’t have too worry about marauders messing with it? Preferably indoor storage but outside could work if need be. As far as getting it moved I’ll have too figure that out when I get there after I can see what’s needed for lifting it. I may also look into finding somebody to haul it on their truck or flatbed trailer over to my garage in WI or northern MI instead of storing it there if I can find somebody willing and reasonably priced.
Again, thank you for stopping yesterday!
Looking for any information available on Del Rey "Sky Lounge" and Kamp King slide-ins for preservation/restoration projects.

My Blue Heaven wrote: BiGG, I sold my '67 C-10 a couple of months ago after having it for sale for about a year. Mine was a couch model, but pics of the dinette model I've seen were completely different from this one. I may be wrong, but I think that this particular one has been completely changed and remodeled, albeit quite nicely. The price is higher than most, but it may be worth it.
Having owned one for over 10 years, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Just the kinda guy I was looking for! I meant to ask for a measurement yesterday and forgot. Do you know what the interior height is? And, what type of jacks did yours come with? Where they the old style swing-ups that were bolted to the camper or did the Avion’s come with the detached ones like DJ mentioned?
As far as price, I agree they are dreaming but sometimes salespeople come back down to reality lol!

Yes, it appeared that it was originally equipped with the swing down jacks but are now missing. The skin looked very good. A couple discolored spots that looked like a tree branch might have rubbed on while stored but nothing that couldn't be rubbed out. But as I said I was not able to get on the very top.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to check the floor. It is sitting on a pallet that is on top of a dolly.
We have a chain of storage lots called Republic Storage. I have stored stuff there over the years and have never had any problems. IIRC 35' outside is $45 and 25' covered is $70.
My dually is set up for hauling a camper but being a dually might be a problem. I also have a 16' flatbed car hauler. We could somehow secure it to the trailer and store them both as a unit might be an option. As long as you picked it up by Spring as I might need to haul the Jeep to Moab!!! Who knows? I may even be enticed for a trip back East this Spring!!
I will certainly help you out any way I can. Just Holler!!!

... the haulers that transport campers accross country for the manufacturers and dealers could easily drop it off to you on a return trip or add it to a load coming to a dealer near you.
Do it up front, save the storage money, and have the camper exactly where you want it. They use rented fork trucks to load and unload... I've watched them at Lance factory and when the dealers recieve them.

BiGG, since mine was sold, I can't measure, but I'm 6"4" and the top of my head was at the ceiling. The jacks I got were replacement, but I think close to the same as original. They were crank-up, bolt on, two half-inch bolts with two jacks on the driver's side and one jack on the passenger side. You WILL need spacers to be able to back a dually underneath. I just used some (8", I think) pieces of square steel tubing to extend the jacks out. Mine went with the camper. With the spacers in place, you could not fold them up to sit in the rings.
Ticki2, thanks for the info on the front dinette, you learn something new every day. This is the first one of those I had seen or heard of.

Maybe the dealer would store it for you for a small fee? Or work it into the deal. It's already there anyway.

I seriously doubt that the dealer would want the liability or to be responsable for it.
