Grayland SP has fire pits. Be sure to take wood. Kids like fires like their dad's do.

My neighbor and his kids, and our family had never been Razor Clamming before. The season was a short 4 day opener, so we headed down Friday afternoon and hit the low tide at 8pm each night. Brought back about 7 lbs of shelled clams. Man these things taste sooooooooo good, much better taste than manila clams.

Pics are from my wife's camera:

And before anyone asks, no, we did not dig between the signs that said no clam digging. The kids just wanted their pics taken there. Typical teens.

I am Sooooooo jealous.... Nothing like winter at the beach and a good family outing with the kids.
The DW doesn't like shellfish and just can't seem to get the idea of what it's about..She does ,however enjoy the beach.. Show her an antique store tho and she's there in a heartbeat..

Hey some nice looking clams there and tons of fun huh!

Bet the kids will be begging to go digging again real soon

Was the weather cold over the weekend - as in almost freezing?

At least it wasn't pouring rain and hookups are WONDERFUL to keep you all warm and snug. Haven't stayed at Grayland - but have driven through AND it looked like another GREAT Washington State Park.

Thanks for the update and sharing your adventures.

Happy Holidays to All ...

Cheers, Boomer
