I am looking to purchase one of these two types of campers in the 21' length. I know The Viking was made that big, does anyone know if the Discovery was also. Any opinions, insight, experiences with either of these two "Hi-Lo" type campers would be greatly appreciated.

Out of curiosity, is the 21" how much the roof raises or something else? 21' length, perhaps?

Well, I looked into this type of camper for a while but due to TV limitations, backed off.
I certainly helps reduce the wind resistance over standard height TTs but I'm not sure that it's all that much. I tossed around the idea of the ultralight TTs as well. Ultimately, I went with something I knew I could pull, since I knew Colorado mtns would be a frequent destination. I didn't even get a highwall PUP, which I'd rather have.
Your reasons and desires will vary.
Are you looking more for a hardside "full size" TT?
One thing is that these will block more outside sound over PUPs but not as much as full walled TTs.

They haven't made those "Pop Tops" for years in this country although Jayco still currently makes them for the Australian market.
I seen this used, and it was a nice floorplan but in poor shape.

Add this design with a detachable tongue (as Trailmanor) and I think you'd see the Hi Wall Pop Up pretty much disappear since it could then fit in a garage.
For profit, the Hi Walls offer more for the makers, so you'll likely never see Pop Tops again.
I do like the Sun Lite's add a room extention on the rear. Don't know where the floor comes from though. I always liked toy haulers ability to have a self supported, additional canvas room.

Jayco Australia is a "sister " company founded by Australian Gerry Hand. Has no other tie ups with Jayco US.(Not a division, not owned by Jayco, different models)

Hum, have to wonder as the folks at Jayco's corporate office have the Jayco Australia awards right on their walls. Don't think they have them there if Jayco Australia was a pirate company using their name illegally. At least one of the people there acknowledged they owned Jayco Australia. I'll take corporates word and their wall of confirmation.

News to the people in Australia., rang them They are a separate company that has nothing to do with Jayco US. Jayco Australia was founded by a Gerry Hand . They have different products and aare a different company. They are not a divion of Jayco US.

I will take what the Australian Company in Melbourne's word to what is pasted on a notice board in Middlebury. As well The Australian company does not make the same products as Jayco US. Poptops have been built in Australia well before Jayco was establiahed here. Have a good day.
