I'd add Northern Lite to your short list also. After reading all these issues about Lance and Arctic Fox on this board, the fiberglass clamshell seems like the ticket for low maintainence. If I were buying new that's the direction I'd go.
I think I got lucky on my used 1991 Fleetwood Caribou, it's a big old heavy son of a gun, but everything works in it, there have been no leaks (so far), and the layout on the inside looks the same as most of the other campers out there. I'd say I got 90% of a new camper for 10% of the price by buying used.
