We had water issues with our HTT and decided to move on. I just purchased (ordered) a Rockwood Ultra Lite 2501SS and was wondering what are some of your likes and dislikes with the Ultra Lite Line. I am coming from a Roo 21SS that had water issues; I am thankful that is behind us and in the past. I also love this floor plan with the Murphy Bed. It still affords us some of the same openness we had with the 21SS.

Rockwood Ultra Lite 2501SS with
Convenience Package: Tinted Safety Glass Windows, Gas Oven, Microwave, 13,500 BTU Ducted A/C, Power Awning, Spare Tire Carrier & Cover, 22" LCD TV 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround w/AM/FM/ Stereo, CD/DVD Player, Gas/Electric Hot Water Heater, Outside Grill, Outside Speakers, Large Assist Grab Handle

Espresso Interior, Oak Cabinetry, Power Tongue Jack, Minimum Carpet, Raised Panel Refrigerator Fronts, Slide Topper, Rear Ladder, Aluminum Wheels, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Carbon Monoxide, Heated Mattress, Water Purifier, Fantastic – Create-a-breeze Bathroom Fan.

I would love to hear from fellow Rockwood Ultra Lite Owners.

You'll love it! A bit more flexibility (in comfort) with extending the camping season, and in rainy weather. Welcome to the world of TTs! Great new "handle" too.

We migrated, as you did, to a TT from a HTT. No more wet canvas. No more noise issues from late nighters or early risers. All is good.

We went from a Roo 23SS to a Rockwood Ultra Light 2701SS for the same reasons you cite. Could not be happier. 2 years later, the trailer is still in perfect shape and we love not having to mess with bunk ends. We do not miss the open feeling because our 2701SS feels very open and airy. I'm not a TT vs. HTT snob, just found that the TT works better for my family.

The Ultra Light Line seems well made. Can't compare to other monufacturers because we have only owned Rockwood trailers. But since we have had no issues in 2 years, I'd say it's good. If I owned the truck I have now when I was shopping for a TT, I would have gotten the Signature Ultra Light 8317SS with the quad bunks, but it was way too heavy for my 2005 Tundra.

So, I think you will enjoy your 2501SS.

We also made the change. I really loved the 23SS, but we usually camp four days a month and the beds started getting a little aggravating.

Good Luck with your new 2501SS.

We just made the move also. 2 seasons in our Jayco 232 HTT with 50 nights this year (17 trips) and the beds just got to much. We love to camp early spring and late fall and the condensation under the mattresses and dampness were getting to me. In addition, seemed like we had so much stuff stored in the trailer that had to come out before we could set up.

Just moved to a quad bunk, picked it up on Halloween - and were able to get out last weekend for the maiden voyage. (Not a single 70 degree day in October, but November's first weekend was beautiful and reached 73). It was so wonderful - all the stuff we used to keep inside the trailer were neatly stored in the storage area in the back, and we hardly had anything in the front storage. We had such a wonderful time, and there was no fighting at bedtime because each of the kids had their own bed . Looking forward to much spring and fall weather camping in our future. Also loved that DH didn't have to crawl over me to get out of bed.

Congratulations! We went from a pup to a TT and skipped the hybrid route as we felt it was the same problem as the pup -- wet, damp etc.
Wish we had campgrounds around here that were still open so we could use our TT for much longer than we do.

Hello, we have a 8296ss 31ft total and we love ours, we just don't get to use it as much as we would like.

Add us to the list of folks that made the switch. We liked our Jayco 23B well enough, it is just that after using it for a year we realized that a traditional TT would work better for us.

We do not miss the damp canvass ends and having to unfold it at home to dry it out, the blast A/C or the fact that you can hear too much noise from outside.

Now the proud owners of a Cougar 29BHS quad bunk. It works very well for our situation, but we do not get to use it as much as we would prefer.... Does anybody?

I can't tell you how they hold up, I don't own one...yet!

You bought the VERY same model I'm in love with...The floorplan looks perfect for my needs and the slide should provide plenty of room...

Enjoy!!
