Do it right the 1st time.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. We have the Eclipse and it is adjustable. You can slant it down if you like as well as dropping one end for rain runoff and it will still retract and extend.
We don't have the wind sensor. We retract it at night and if we are leaving. I think it's a good product.

WE THOUGHT THAT WE WOULD DO THE SAME AS FAR AS RETRActing when we leave and therefore figured we didn't need the wind sensor. but where we camp most of the time the sun beats on the refer side and really heats up the back of it. So we want to leave it partialy open to give shade to that area but are now afraid to do so when we leave in case the wind kicks up while gone. and in vegas gusts sometime come up pretty fast. so giving second thought about getting one except for the 469.00 dollars for it, lol.

coffeebreak, if you look at the way it is designed and talk to the Carefree rep, you will find that it will not flip over the top of the RV, like most awnings will, in a gust of wind. It is designed to let the material billow up, while the arms fold up like it was self closing and then the weight of the roller will bring the awning back down as the wind gust subsides. I have seen this actually happen, with no damage to the awning. Save your money.

I agree 100%. The Carefree Eclipse we have will allow the arms to move in during wind gusts and not damage anything, it's worked great for us. Another 'save your money'.

No idea what you checked out but as others have stated, the Eclipse is full adjustable at both ends. You can have both sides tilted down or only one side; each side has 6 positions. One tilted there's no need to re-adjust; just hit the switch and it will pull it and go out at whatever tilt there is.

Really great feature.

Good to know. As I said we have one. Now I may not retract it as much as I have in the past.
