It's funny when you start restoring an older RV how you get a real affinity for the older RVs

Was it a good Winnie? Sometimes an older coach is not financially worth putting into usable condition. The only way you will be able to extract any value out of yours will be to use it for a very long time. If an insurance company looked at your coach once its all done, they would just call it "proper maintenance" and not put any monetary value on the work you are putting into it. The average person does not understand the difference in value of a coach that has always been kept up and one that has just been driven. On the surface, they both look the same. That means the resale value is no different on your coach from before or after your work. So when one blows up a another old coach, you have to ask, is it worth it? Is really worth investing and making it useable again? From a financial position, no, its not worth it. From a personal standpoint it can be worth it, but how many are will to invest the effort?

One thing you don't know too, is if the engine is shot or the frame is totally rusted out. Either one could be a show stopper on the value of the coach.

Just the other day I saw a beautifully restored motorhome of that same model. He pulled away and engine really sounded smooth.

Here is video of that same motorhome attempting that same jump for the last time. The driver faired a bit better then the MH, They dont say how long he was in the hospital though. He's lucky to be alive! Just look at the drivers compartment at the end.
