We are heading to north Kansas City for Thanksgiving and want to take the 5th wheel but are having trouble finding someplace to stay. Any suggestions?? We have a big rig and need 50 amp service. Basswood is up there but is 40+ a night. We are not going to be there much so are trying to be a little cheaper. Any help would be great.

there's a nice COE campground just below the dam at Smithville Lake. Some 50amp, I think.

If you mean north end of KC MO - try the MO State Park at Excelsior Springs - Watkins Woolen Mill SP - is very nice. We have stayed there a couple of times while visiting grandchildren. Closer in we have also used the Jackson County Park - Lake Jacomo cg. I believe both of these are open.
