Has anyone ever tried, or figured out a way to, slow down the water flow a little on the 5.7 pump? It works great when you have an easy accsss to dump the water (which you usually don't need the pump then) but when a person is dry camping the pump can run a lot of water into the holding tank really quick during a shower or shampoo. We've tried shutting off the shower spray some but that's hard to do with soap all over everything.

hard to do with these sing handle valves....you could purchase a shower head with a stingier water restricter .

If the 5.7 is to much, you could consider replacing the pump with a lower GPM. My 03 32' Southwind MH has the Shurflo Classic which is 2.8 GPM. The Shurflo 5.7 is in the Extreme Series line and they have a 4.0 GPM Extreme Series pump if you think you need to stay with the Extreme Series.
Check out www.Shurflo.com or call them and ask them if a lower GPM pump will work. I dont see why it would not? My Grandparents MH which is a bit bigger then mine has the Shurflo Whisper King pump and it is only 2.0 GPM.

That is the best solution. Just get a shower head with a push button on-off. You turn on the water to get yourself wet so that you can soap up. You turn the water off while you are doing this. The next time you turn on the water is to rinse. This should only take a few gallons of water.

Didn't YOU want the 5.7 pump? You must have added it, I don't know of any RVs that it comes in stock. I have one and love it for the most part.

wagonmaster2.....Try this showerhead. It will be one of the best purchases you'll ever make. Uses substantially less water than most, but feels like you have twice the pressure.
