Hubby and I are looking at small motorhomes. We have only a nine foot gate and only 9'5" top clearance because of a two-foot roof overhang so it really narrows us down to a van type.
We have been looking at some and the features are perfect for the two of us for just occasional road trips and trips to see family and friends.
The dealers near us are offering new units on short sale so it is a really good time for us to buy.
I worry since so many people including our neighbors have class A big fancy rigs will we get the stink eye at campgrounds because we arrive in a small unit??
We had a 32' new Wilderness TT years many years ago and loved the friendliness of campgrounds but wonder if that has changed with the times?

Can't answer all of your quesiton but about the overhang. I took a skill saw to mine and moved it back. I poured concrete and have been parking there until last December. The 40 footer is to long.

Forget it, we have had both kinds and discrimination is not a factor with RVers. They are just as friendly as ever. Some of them will be thinking of downsizing and will want to peek at yours.

Wow! Sounds like you are overly sensitive to what others may think. My advice is buy and enjoy whatever rig makes you happy. Who really cares what others think. Hope you find what you are looking for. Happy camping to you.

Go buy one. Don 't worry about others. You will find more people coming to see your Class B. People are amazed at how well laid out some of these smaller Rvs are. I did, thats why we have a Class B today.

We have an A and going back to a C and probably a B. If it's any help, when you arrive in your cozy, easy-to-maneuver, garage-parkable B with the great gas mileage, you can snicker at the 42-ft behemoths who think having a drivable mobile home with outrageous upkeep, tag taxes and high insurance bills is all the rage. Enjoy your B.

Don't worry. Most A owners never come out of their rigs, except to hookup and unhook.

I enjoy my B way too much to care what anybody else thinks. Try parking a big fancy rig in a shopping mall, restaurant or store front street parking. Let me know how that works.

You can always camp where the Class As can't follow you.
