We have a 1982 holiday rambler we bought four years ago, we guted it redid the whole inside and I did all the chairs and couch we called upon the interior designers at a college here to help for a help in their field of interior designing classes and since I know alot of people at the college they loved the idea. I tlooks like a million dollar home inside and more. But the outside is great except if I could just get that dam orange decal off going down the side, it matches nothing. So we go camping first time in august since we didn,t go all of 08 because of the gas so we decided to redo the inside from ceiling to floor. We pull in a camp site won,t tell you where and as I was getting out to stretch while my husband was checking in a lady came by and said well are you sure you have the right camp site we have alot of newer rv here and so I froze and stood their and my mouth would not open and she says good day and bout ten mins later I came to and looked her up and youuuuuuuuu do not want to know what I told her. But you know mine is paid for its clean and screw whoever thinks or says mine is not up to par. Hope no one else has had this problem will send pictures of it soon and you all take a vot.

Your best bet is to ignore the idiots. Most people could care less what you drive up in. Unfortunately some do, ignore them.

The one good thing about having a motor home is that if you don't like your neighbors, or the park manager, you can leave, taking your money elsewhere.
I think some of the old RV's look better than the new ones.

Go girl, I cant believe the snobishness of some people and camp grounds,
Sounds like you have an rv that is just fine and you are proud of.
Belive me,you can camp beside me anytime.
You have an "82" Rambler-- the creme of the crop.
But PULEEZ tell us what you told her.
dont need any picture for a vote, I vote aye

Your case is really not unusual as there are many RV parks who have a "requirement" that any RV that stays at their park must be no older than 10 years. Additionally, even though that rule exists, it frequently is not enforced.

The fact that someone looks down their nose at your RV is a fact of life in our society today. The way you dealt with it was equally as wrong as the way the woman addressed you regarding your RV. All you did was to validate in her mind that you had a piece of trash. You should've just ignored her because you KNEW she was wrong.

Well yes to one lady I showed my rear and should have kept my mouth shut but the nerve of some people. I have seen some really bad rvs in parks and have met the best people that come out of them. I didn,t teach school for 20 years and not learn something and taught my girl who is a teacher to consider the source and go on but we worked hard for the rv and I ll be damed if anyone will knock it down and so maby next time she will think before she degrades someone else. But she got my message and probably a few others who were standing around and maby next time I will just keep my mouth shut?????

We all need to buy a nice Mh like Eddy's on Christmas Vacation with the grizzwalds and find that lady and just have some fun. Life is just to short.

Granted I do not have a mh but what this person told you was flat out wrong IMHO. I tell my freinds who do not rv that I have met some of the nicest people at campgrounds. I have met some really nice people in Older TT or MH and some real snobs in new MH, some nice ones as well.

I really do not care if what you rv/camp in as long as you are nice and a good neighbor. If you want to be rude thats fine, just look like an idiot in front of everyone around
