Very unfortunate. Now if it were a vintage automobile it would be worth more than some of the newer ones. I was in a campground in Alaska. Nearly got run over by an old beatup Class A that came flying in the road. Then met the nicest woman in the laundry who was half of the team. Hate getting run over so glad he missed me. Might have got me with a newer moho. Ha! I'll have to admit though the Prevost towing a Hummer did bother me a bit but we all let them in the campground even though we were bothered by the conspicuous consumption. I agree. Some folks just get a bit toady for us but we do not believe we should exclude them because there rig is too big and shiney. Look forward to your pics of remodel. Fun to make it your own.

GOOD FOR YOU!! When I had an older trailer, I was told that it was to old for a CG in AZ. Later I traded it for an almost new coach. I ran into the snob CG people a Quartzite begging people to visit & offering free stays. I DID GET MY POINT ACROSS! Life is to short to tolerate that treatment. They do'nt feed or clothe you so they are nothing.

I will never forget 50 years ago in a drug store one of my sons was acting up and I told him to "shut up" in a harsh tone. A little ol lady jumped on me but good for my actions. I didn't know what to say at the time so I said nothing. A few days later I figured out if I ever saw her again I would say "Thank You".
It was one of life's little lessons for me.

Sometimes you just got to do what you got to do.

The only RV Parks that I ever ran across that had an RV age limit were the "Resort" parks which have individual lot ownership. The lot owners have an association that determines the rules governing the cg. The owners that don't rent out their lots, want those that do have some restrictions. Case in point is the Traverse City Resort which has the 10 year rule. My RV is 13 years old, but no problem.

Good for you! I just love to stick it to snobbish people.

There are some RV parks that have rules about vehicle age but in my experience such rules are seldom enforced. If your rig is cleaned and well maintained you probably will never have a problem. If you do it not a place you would want to be anyway.

Oh great, another opportunity to slap around RV "snobs" and expiate our egos for not being able, or being unwilling, to sell the family farm for a Prevost!
I'm betting the "snobs" spend a whole lot less time thinking about we old nickle dimers that we spend thinking about them!
Hey, I'm down with my own old unit and can handle the fact that people driving multiple slide, multiple $100k units don't admire my frugal ways.
I also never speculate about who can and cannot afford their choices--had to eat my words on that assumption too many times. I suspect that anyone driving a luxury coach these days probably can, like the rest of us, afford their ride.

I am proud of my old Dawghouse. Anyone who doesn't like it should be spending their time worrying about themselves. Our previous rig was an 82 Pace Arrow. We loved it and had a lot of fun in it. So far, we haven't run into any snobs. Either that, or I am just too deaf to hear their comments. Sometimes old age has it's benefits.

My bigest worry is, If your coffee pot is on or should mine be on. Feel we have so much more to wory about like the kids blasting the radio or being drunk and loud. When were around the campfire you can't tell the differance and the ones with their nose in the air are to good to sit and just talk around the fire. Also Dog's MH needs a polish but his wife and kids are allowed all 22 of them
