The replacement of the vapor recovery canister is needed on my 1997 Tropical P32. It has somehow lost the ability to return the vapors, and condensate gasoline to the tank. It now drips gasoline when filling the tank. Not much, but it should not drip at all. In doing this the tank has to be dropped, removing fill hoses and then replacing the vapor recover unit and any old hoses, and perhaps the fuel pump in the tank itself. The labor to drop it and just fix the vapor recovery unit is calculated and for just a few more labor dollars and the cost of the fuel pump, the entire job would be done on this now 13 year old unit. HAS ANYONE DONE THIS AND IF SO WHAT WAS THE COST?

Are you sure about all of this. Should not some trouble shooting be in order as to the why it is dripping? Where is your canister located, on top of your tank?

Yes, it is on top. The trouble shooting has to be done either by neddle point video camera or dropping the tank. Even then the inside of the canister is where the membrane is for the condensate, as only the outside has a breather medium and perhaps a return hose. The exact set up is so far unknown, as I have not seen the system that is specific to this P-32 1997 unit.
