I've got a 2006 Outfitter Apex. I just noticed that the Filon surrounding the sliding cab through window seems to be separating from whatever it's bonded to.
Anybody know what's in there? Is it just a sheet of polystyrene insulation? And any ideas if it can be fixed?

Freedom you sure post a lot of bad stuff in here about Outfitter. If I didn't know better, I'd suspect you work for one of their competitors and are trying to make them appear bad.

Calling is still worth a try and not expensive.
Freedom has tried to work through Outfitter for other repairs and does not appear to have been very happy with the response. Taking it to them again does not seem to be an option. So, if you know some specifics it might help in case Outfitter does not get him there.

Yeah right, he joined in 2006 after buying an Outfitter just to post a few items.

He can't make them look bad... they've done that to themselves...
HE HAS WRITTEN IN THE PAST HOW MUCH HE'S ENJOYED HIS CAMPER. What is there that you don't understand about that?

I had a 9.5 Apex 2004 I bought new . Sold in 06 . I remember asking Bob about that , if I recall corectly that area is loose fit because of the radius above it . It buckled and moved around depending on the weather

Thanks for adding perspective to this. I hope Freedom hasn't burned the bridges at Outfitter that can help him.

What bridges are left?
If he had troubles dealing with them for months and they are bankrupt I doubt that there are any briges to burn. (go back and read his previous posts)
When you spend thousands of dollars with a company and they give you a warrenty you would expect loyality from them.
Companies that hold a grudge againest their customers will always fail.
Companies that fail (bankrupcy) don't honor warrenties. warrenty work is an expense. Bankrupcy is a way to get out of obligations at the expense of your customers and vendors.
I would never hand my credit card to a company that is bankrupt or that didn't honor their obligations.

The suggestion that I work for one of Outfitter's competitors is laughable. Yeah right - I bought an Apex and inflicted damage on it so that I could slag the company. I cannot tell you how much I wish I had never heard the name Outfitter.
Thanks for the comment about your experience Okan-Star. I saw a couple of Outfitters this summer and both of them did not have the same "symptoms" my Apex did. I think it started happening after the fibreglass tub on the camper failed and the passenger side camper wing collapsed onto the truck. When I push on the area, it sounds crunchy, like perhaps the bond between the Filon and whatever is underneath of it - insulation I assume - has broken down. I don't think it's load bearing, but I'm still concerned.
