Make mine a 6' step ladder. We don't take the 3 step-stool any more. Use the ladder for cleaning the windshield and windows. If I have any ambition it is used when waxing the motor home.

An old aluminum ladder, found out that the new ladder I bought was too enticing for someone.

I keep one of these in the rig:

Telescoping ladder.

It's solid, and much like a ''real'' extension ladder when deployed. It takes up little space in the basement. It doesn't weigh too much, maybe 25 lbs. or so.

On edit:

I also carry a three step step-stool for reaching the tops of windows etc. The telescoping ladder is for getting up on the roof when needed.

Adondo I sure like the looks of the telescoping ladder, what's the cost?

I have the telescoping ladder also. I've had it for almost ten years and it's a high quality ladder. Don't do what I did though mine is only a 10' model. I'm not even sure they had the taller models back when I got mine but the taller model would be the better choice. I think the price was around $200 when i got mine.

This is the fold and collapse CW one:

CW Ladder

It is not too long and only takes up the space of a 2x4 as someone said.

Ditto on this except for the 7 footer works for me. Bought a sq pvc fence post and hung it inside one of the thru space basement comparments. Stores away easily.

I have the same "Extend and Climb" telescoping ladder adondo has. Great ladder, takes up little space, and weighs around 25 lbs. I love it!
