Check back often, updates have been added and will be added this evening! So far, I am liking what I see!!

And haters, don't comment. You don't care anyway so why bother. This thread is clearly titled for Dodge/Chrysler enthusiasts. Jeep enthusiasts are welcome as well.

I've checked it out a few times but haven't time to read through it...

Can you put up the "readers digest" version on the highlights?

Why would anyone hate a manufacturer that supports American workers? Good luck to Chrysler, we need everyone back to work.

"Engines. Fiat technologies, including smaller turbo engines, MultiAir, start/stop systems, and direct injection will be added rapidly. The World Engines (2.0 and 2.4 liters) will gain MultiAir and direct injection, as will the Pentastar V6. Fiat’s dual-clutch transmission will be used by Chrysler. Pentastar V6 will launch in May 2010. A twin turbo version of the Pentastar V6 will be launched as will a single-turbo version. V8 efficiency will be increased. Start-stop (engine shutoff at idle) will be applied to the Jeep Wrangler diesel starting Q4 2010 — which indicates there will be a Wrangler diesel — and will be moved to other engines afterwards. A new 6.4 liter Hemi will join the 5.7 liter Hemi with around 450 hp. Chrysler estimates that V6 engines will drop from 54% to 37% of product mix by 2014 with four-cylinders going from 19% to 38% and diesel from 9% to 14% (V8 from 18% to 11%)."

And my favorite part:

"Cummins diesels appear to be staying."

The above was just a paragraph from the "engines" portion.

And, on a separate note, news just out that Chrysler has reached the break even point for Sept 09. Surprisingly quick for recently entering bankruptcy protection.

Next - profits. Something they need.

I looked and could not see reference to a diesel application for the Wrangler. Could someone point me to the paragraph? I have been waiting a long time for a fuel efficient, torque ladened 4-banger diesel under the hood of a Wrangler, about damn time. And with a manual tranny, manual transfer cases and MANUAL HUBS.

Hmmm...I think I'm going to be seriously tempted to buy a new 2010 Ram, but if it is up for a total redesign in 2012, what kind of improvements are they going to make? Myabe I should wait, I hear the 2010 is real nice truck, so if they improve on it, that means?

I do not like the plans for Jeep and feel that the presenation was what you would expect from a marketing think-tank of city boys. They are going to expand the Compass / Patriot offering to appeal more to those city folk who want poser Jeeps. Basically, if you read between the lines, they want to focus all off-road capability on the Wrangler and further neuter the rest of the line into Fiat based crossovers in the long term. Sorry....you aren't going to get your target audience out of their Japanese cute-utes. Compass FAILED. Patriot FAILED.

I do like the diesel option for the Wrangler. That is a long time coming. Pentastar V6 will breathe new motivational life into that vehicle as well.

The RAM brand.....good strong presentation by Fred Diaz. Really like the direction there. RAM will survive no matter what happens to the rest of the show.

Of all their vehicles, I like the HD Ram 2500/3500 and the Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (with Pentastar and Diesel) the most.

I think its a safe bet either way, each of the big 3 are going to make improvements each time they do a refresh to stay ahead of each other. It's a good problem to have.
