We stayed there twice this past summer and would stay there again. Nice quite campground with easy access to many historic sites. Just be careful of the county road leading to it, its very winding and you come up on the entrance abruptly.

It's a nice campground. We have stayed there several times when visiting Fredericksburg. It's a lot better than some of the KOAs we have stayed in. We like the sites in the back of the campground. Quiet and lots of trees an big sites.

One strong suggestion: don't make reservations thru KOA. Call the campground and talk to them direct. It seems that KOA's system doesn't really understand their sites and will often tell you your rig won't fit. From our experience, our 37 ft motor home fits almost everywhere. The folks running the campground are very friendly and will help to get you a site to your liking. Just give them a call.

Enjoy Fredericksburg! It's a fantastic place-lots of great German food and Mamacita's Mexican Food can't be beat! The Museum of the Pacific War (in the heart of town) is a must see. As is the WILDSEED FARM (a few miles west of the KOA). Yep, it's worth the trip, even in winter. BUT, if you travel with one of the female gender, hold on to your wallet!!

And of course, everybody should visit LUCKENBACH!!, Just 4 miles from KOA. Ask in the office to be sure where the turnoff is.

Welcome to Texas!!!!!!

We stay there every time we are headed back to New Jersey from Florida, and had no problems! They have a lot of pull-thru sites too!

Far as I know there is only one Fredericksburg KOA and it's a few miles from Richmond, Va. We've stayed there many times while going back and forth to Myrtle Beach. Nice campground with good amenities and a decent camp store.

Nope - there is Fredicksburg TX - in the heart of the Hill Country! This just points out the need for posters to be specific in their requests for information. Now - to the OP - which Fredricksburg are you asking about?

Based on other posts by the OP I would guess he is talking about the one in Virginia not Texas for this trip.
