My wife and I were just introduced into the world of RV'ing and love it. We recently drove from CA to Fl in our new/used 2005 Pace Arrow and ran into a few issues that I am hoping somebody can help us with.
The first one is the annoying AC unit inside the RV. Almost all the time its on, we have a continual drip from the vent and I am wondering if something is clogged or the sealant has separated. Any ideas on what this could be before I drop a lot of money at the dealer?
The second issue is when we level the RV, it never seems to level it properly and I dont know if thats on purpose but it looks like the coach is not really level. I didnt know if it had anything to do with the AC water that comes off the roof as maybe it has to be that way to drain, but I didnt think so. Any help with this would be appreciated as we are heading to the Keys in a month. Take care!

Hi,

You can remove the A/C cover, and look inside. There should be a drain line that comes out, and it probably is clogged with dirt, spider eggs, or something. You can vacuum this with a wet/dry vacuum, or clean it with a wire coathanger, or something?

Also remove the inside cover, and clean the air filter. Then look up. There should be 4 bolts that clamp the rooftop air conditioner to the inside frame. They are normally 1/2" heads, so using a 1/2" socket or nut driver, tighten these to "Snug" - but not tight. It will compress the gasket a little more. My gasket is still the original 1997, and is not leaking rainwater or evaporator water.

The gasket is a flexible 1" tick insulation that is compressed once it is installed, to make it water tight.

Good Luck,

Fred.

You didn't say what your leveling jacks are, but there is a procedure, where you hit some buttons, and hold, and set levels on the floor, etc, and then manually set a bench mark level, in the system. All you have to do is call the manufacturer, or find the leveling jacks manual, it should explain it in there. Robbie

Your Power Gear jacks can be recalibrated easily. You will need a level and go to the PG website to get instructions. I have done mine but I cant remember the procedure right now. It is very simple to do. If you cant find instructions pm me and I will get them for you from my coach.
