I experienced a leak at the front of the Seneca this past weekend and I'm not sure where the leak originates but I'm positive it is along the seam between the roof and the front cap. I just read a thread on using Eternabond to repair a bathroom vent leak so I think the Eternabond tape is the best method to repair the long seam of my front cap.
Does Eternabond install directly over the existing caulking, or should the old stuff be removed prior to the repair?

Remove as much as you can, but it's not required. By far the best move you'll make. Be sure to review the EternaBond website's videos on how to properly install, prep the area well, install the tape, and apply as much pressure as you can with a pinch roller. Warm day will help too!

I did not clean any of the old stuff off before installing eternabond. I used 4 inch wide stuff so I was able to have like an inch over the applied stuff. I did clean with their cleaner, even tho I think acetone is much cheaper from Walmart. I found a 50'X4" roll on line for around $50.00. Matter of fact this weekend I am going up and do the rear seam also. Once this stuff sticks and you roll it out, there is no way it is going to leak. An easy installation, and shouldnt have to mess witth it for another ten years.
