we bought a Honda Ridgeline as our family vehicle. Not as a tow vehicle at this time as we have a small class C. We may downsize to a small light weight trailer in the future. I looked at the wire plug and it looks different from the 7 prong that I have on my Winnebago. In my glove box is a wire for towing. I'm at a loss. Any help would be appteciated

Both of my Honda's (not Ridgeline's) have a connector near the left rear fender hidden. You buy an adapter (which might be what you found in the glove box) and plug it into that connector, then you wire your four or seven wire connector into it?
Does it look like THIS?

The wire set in the glove box is for the controller.

DAS26miles is correct.
The harness is for the brake controller which you will buy and mount in the cab of your Ridgeline. The dealer installed the trailer electrical plug along with the 2" receiver on my Ridgeline which has a 4 and 6 wire female plug in it.
When you find the trailer you can have it wired to connect to your Honda.

Went to Honda dealer this evening to get a door seal replaced. I asked about the trailer wiring. Seems there is an adapter that I can buy at any auto parts store for it. So case closed. Thanks.
