This may be old news to many of you, but I just noticed some very small cracks in my motorhomes exterior paint. Does anyone know what causes that and how is it fixed?

What manufacturer is your RV?
There are a lot of recent posts about "Fiberglass spiderweb cracking" on the Yahoo Newmar forum.

It's certainly NOT just a Newmar "problem" Many other manufacturers used the same panels in their rigs. The manufacturer of the panels is now out of business. Also it is usually discoverd after the warranty is over.
There were a few posts about it on the Newmar DP forum in my sig too.
To the OP: the cure is to pull the whole side off, replace it and repaint, cost is $15-20,000 per side for 40' MH.

And likely the biggest reason why all motorhome manufacturers have switched to using all composite sidewalls, not a fiberglass/wood laminate.

Have a friend with a Mandalay that just had the same issue....it seems to appear mainly in the darker paints, especially after sitting in the hot sun for long periods.
