But we also trade-off and she drives some of the time.

we also have a GREY list so that if one of us finishes early we go to that (from opposite ends)...meet in the middle. the important stuff we have flags for..like the antenna not down.the one time outside jobs pays off is when i unhook the toad...while SHE pays the rent ..lol

DW takes care of the kitchen & bathroom I do all the rest. She will not drive nor plan the route, just tells me where she wants to go. We shop & do laundry together most of the time, sometimes, well most of the time, I run off to do other things while she is doing the laundry. She cooks inside & I cook outside. Works well for us.

I wasn't aware that you could divide the chores; I'll have to run this one by my wife.

Wife handles most of the inside setting up - with a family of four and a small TT, the TT needs a lot of organizing when we get to a campground.

I do most of the outdoor stuff - driving, backing, leveling, hookups, dumping. My son is helping me more and more which is nice (but of course, I still go over everything he does! lol).

Trip planning we both work on. Wife does most of it, but last year when we went to Fort Wilderness (Disney) I planned pretty much the whole trip. On the longer trips I go over the route carefully (and use Open Roads forums a LOT for advice) with my wife.

She just got a GPS this summer.... I am still not used to it! I am also a little leery of it because it doesn't realize I am towing - we haven't figured out how program it for that, if it can be.

Wife drove the truck and trailer a little bit this summer, she feels that she should drive it some more. I am fine with that.... except over the years I swear we have put the local autobody shop's kids through college! (shh, I didn't say that.. but my wife's accident rate is a running joke with our friends - and the autobody guy...).

When in doubt, help out! Camping is supposed to be fun. If someone is having a bad day, the other person will step up and get things done.

We're pretty "normal" the Brideandjoy does most of the inside stuff I do most of the outside stuff (She hooks up the cable, I remember to turn on the hot water).

Driving we swap about but for one thing. In general if possible I drive through large metro areas. She doesn't like the heavy traffic and does a much better job then I do watching the signage (I'm watching the heavy traffic) so for going around DC or Dallas she'll be navigating.

The one thing that is pretty much all on her is picking out campgrounds she does a way better job then I do.

Our chores are divided in some strange way I don't yet understand:

I back up, while she looks on the wrong side so that I come in inches from a light pole I didn't see.

I unhook the toad, while she parks it and forgets the only key inside, turned to ACC so the remote opener won't even work (today's problem).

She cleans and uses the toilet, while I have to go over to the campsite restrooms.

She only can drink the cranberry and other juices, while I have to have the fizzed out coke that was bought when my daughter visited.

etc....

I think things are pretty well divided up between the DH and myself. I do all the cleaning, packing, shopping and menu planning. The DH does all the driving. I make the reservations and set up the GPS. I am his co-polit and always keep an eye out on the road a head for our next turn or rest stop.

When we arrive at our site, we use walkie talkies and I help guide the 5er into it's campsite, making sure we have ample room for all 3 slides. Together we get things set up on the outside, water, electric, sewer & cable. I refuse to touch the sewer stuff, but I help with everything else. Then I go inside, put out the slides as the DH watches.

While he is getting out our camp chairs, I am setting things up inside. It's usually late in the afternoon when we arrive, so the next thing I do is pour us each a glass of wine and then we sit in our lounge chairs and relax! Works for us!

Yes, we do the same. But I also "do" the toilet (part of the dumping routine).

My wife keeps the kids caged while I do the slides and the hookups. She does the bedding and the floor runner rugs. I do the unhooking and the stinky slinky routine.

My wife looks good and gives me instructions. She's the only one suited for the job,.......just lucky I guess. I get to do all the fun stuff. She thinks I'm a recreation engineer.
