So it turns out the trailer I was told from day one (3 times actually) has dual windows actually doesn't after them after all.

I've been looking for AF's and Komfort trailers all over north western US and western Canada, if I find it doesn't have thermal (double) windows I just move on, we camp/fish early and late into the season and I hate the condensation from standard windows.

So now that this one doesn't we need to make a decision, how hard is it going to be to find a used trailer in the US with thermal windows? The manager at this dealer says they NEVER order anything with thermal windows, up here near Vancouver BC the local Arctic Fox and Komfort dealers order everything with thermals, and 16 inch tires (that's another story)

I'm still waiting to hear from the sales manager as to what he's going to do for us but I'm pretty pissed off about the whole thing, I would not recommend Freedom RV of Spokane to anyone, the service is brutal...

Since double-pane windows is usually an option on RV's, I would say that it may be a little tough to find what you are looking for if the windows aren't negotiable.

Yes they're an option when you buy them if you order a trailer but who does that?
Many dealers up here get all Komforts and AF's with thermals, all Citations have them as well, doesn't any dealers south of the border order trailers with thermals?
How many people on this forum have thermal windows?
Just curios. The Komfort we're been looking at seems nice but the window thing pisses me off.

If I was told it had Insulated Glass, and I bought it only to discover it had single pane, I would be very

Not sure why you don't buy one equipped like you want locally.
We've had houses with dual panes and 6" walls since 1981 and without proper air movement and ventilation, they can gather moisture just like single panes. Good luck.

Bigfoot has "solar reflective thermal pane windows" as an option. Is that what you have in mind?

I had to order my Fox to get double windows. The dealers feel that those who by from stock ar not informed, and only looking at price. Contact Thunder RV in LaGrande to get exactly what you want or need and most likely a very competitive price.

I've been looking for 2 months so far, there's just not much to choose from up here and I can't afford a new trailer.
Do you have thermal's in your trailer?

What the manufacturers call them is another matter, I'm looking for windows with 2 panes of glass, not 1.

Yes I am pissed of Glazier, but if no one down there gets trailers with them and I can't find one up here what are my options?

I decided to go with "insulated" windows for this winter of camping...

So I got one of those heat shrink plastic storm window kits from Home Depot. Now I've got about 2" of dead air space in my windows for about $9.89.

I'll let you know how it works out come Springtime.

BTW, when I bought my trailer, it was advertised as having 2" walls with R7 insulation and a 4" roof with R14 insulation (all specs subject to change without notice).

What I got was 1" walls with R3.5 insulation, and a 2" roof with R7 insulation (all specs subject to change without notice).

So it's not just the salesmen that lie through their teeth. That little disclaimer "all specs subject to change without notice" basically means that anything they put in print is totally meaningless (in a court of law).

Don't even talk to me about salesmen. This guy tried telling me he told me it had thermal windows which are single pane but I have 3 emails where he specifically told me it had "dual pane windows".
These guys are amazing, I don't even think they have RV's themselves. The sales manager actually told me it has a tongue weight of 2000 pounds, has anyone ever heard of a 2000 pound tongue weight¿ (it's 1000 BTW)
