I need some help from my fellow fivers. The travel section is a little light this time of year and has a small response. We are heading to North Kansas City for Thanksgiving and want to take the fifth wheel. The state parks and city campgrounds all close in October. Looking for any suggestions of campgrounds that can accomodate a big rig (43ft). I am hoping to be a little on the cheap side. Basswood wants $40 a night. I know that I may not get everything I want Thanks for any help!

I can't think of any rv parks other than Basswood up on the north side.
I searched rv parks for kansas city, mo. north and got a couple of trailer parks that also welcome rvs.
then I found this one at Holt, MO

Woodalls and TL Online Directory have "free" searches and you can filter by various options ie FHU's, distance from town,

BassWood is very over rated, and as you found out Expensive. Worlds of Fun Campground is not far out of NKC, has good off season rates, and if you want to spend the money you save staying there over Basswood, the Casinos are nearby for disposal of your savings.
Enjoy your trip, have a piece of Pizza Shoppe pizza for me, and a Bryant's BBQ samich.
