First aired in 1966/67 and made in England.
Now, as usual, a remake is coming along, only this is made in the US.
Nov 15 thru 17 on AMC. LINK

The problem with a good memory is that it's good.

Patrick McGoohan starred in it. I liked the Prisonor, but much preferred Dangerman or as it was known in some markets...Secret Agent man.

Dangerman also starred Patrick McGoohan. I beleive he was a British American actor...last role I saw him in, before he passed away a short while ago, was as the English King in Mel Gibson's historical epic...Braveheart...about Scottish hero William Wallace.

McGoohan, IMHO was magnificent in the role of the conniving King.

lwMuddy...how's that for facts derived wholly from an aging (me) memory.

I keep telling the wife that if you don't use it(memory) then you lose it. You thought I meant something else. HAHAHA.

I think what you may want to use with your wife is using a 'selective' memory. That way you can remember the things you want..but forget the things you have no desire...say...to do.

Examples maybe the 'To Do' list of things to do around the house...usually assigned by wives.

Another US remake of a British Classic! How well do you think it will turn out? I bet that there will be a lot more explosions!
BTW, a small point,

It was filmed in Wales, Portmeirion to be exact. And no, Wales is not IN England, that is like saying that Texas is in California!

Leave us not forget Percy Dovetonsil, The Nairobi Trio and the ads for Whiskerwilt, showing balloons deflating when it was applied.

Without Goggling, who can name that famous tv show and some unforgettable trivia?

The clock is ticking.

Patrick "Secret Agent" McGoohan retired from his S.A. job and was quickly taken Prisoner and sent to an island where as I recall he was #6.. Of course it was his duty to escape, which he tried to do many times.. But every time he made it off-island they fired up their underwater lava lamp and a big bubble of something popped up and herded him back to the island.

Kind of a stupid show when you stop to think about it

But I still watched it.

Geez...next you're going to say that Scotland is not part of England...I mean where does it end...??

The best British series of all in MHO...is The Avengers with Patrick McNee and episodes with either Diana Rigg or Honour Blackman...other versions of the Avengers not so good.

Here here, good show, pip pip and all that. Avengers original was spot on with some of the most inventive crimes I've ever seen.
How about the bird that said E-ERP? With the steel claws. Oh those were the days all right.

Cheerio.
