Has anyone here had any experience purchasing a used coach at Motorhomes of Texas, in Nacogdoches, Texas? Any information pertaining to salesmen, inspection process, display of coaches, pricing, test driving, etc., would be very much appreciated. They have had several coaches from 34’ to 36’ that look interesting. I see that they are priced over low NADA, but I know the quality of Foretravel speaks for itself.
Thanks for any and all input, good or bad.

I have only ever heard glowing reviews from anyone who has visited, talked with or dealt with MOT. We have purchased a few small parts there, spoken at length with some of the sales people while looking, and had troubleshooting help from the service dept. I would not hesitate to do business with them, and plan to stop there when next in Nacogdoches. We are owners of a 1993 Foretravel U225 Unihome. These guys know every bit as much as the folks at the factory down the road.

Road Runner,

The folks at Motor Homes of Texas (MOT) are over the top in their service to the customer. You do not even need to be a client to get this level of service. So, just imagine how well you will be taken care of as a purchasing customer.

They will give your purchase the most thorough PDI of any dealer in the country. In fact, the number of dealers that can boast of being equal to MOT's PDI and service is a very very tiny number.

Jason Haskins or the owner David Robertson will take very good care of you as you select your coach.

Here is a early congratulations on the the new to you Foretavel. If you enjoy it half as much as we do our second one, you will be most pleased.

My good buddy, v8q, a regular on here purchased his Foretravel there, then drove there and back home with it - still a satisfied owner (naturally). PM him.

Had them add a AFO braking system to my Prevost and tow there - outstanding service. Derrick the Service Manager stayed late to ensure job was complete and I was satisfied.

I have bought 2 coaches there. A 93 U280 and my current one. David Robertson is as honest as they come. You must inspect and ask the right questions for the consignment coaches, but I actually spoke to the former owners of my first coach before buying it. You will not go wrong. Thanks for the replys. I was thinking of going by there tomorrow but see that MOT are not open Saturdays, only by apointment. Have not found out about FOT yet.
I will make a point of going by both places during the week.
Does anyone know if they have any wiggle room on the prices.
Thanks again.

Another vote of confidence in Motorhomes of Texas.

We bought our current coach from David Roberson back in 1998 and have kept in touch with him ever since. A quality act.

And I am up there on a regular basis doing mechanical inspections on coaches for buyers. If you are looking for a used Foretravel, this is one of the places to look.

They are just a couple of blocks from the Foretravel factory and most of his staff are Foretravel factory trained.

We bought our 'used' 34' from the factory in 2002 and there was wiggle room then on $$$. Ours was not a consignment but resulted from a trade (original owners decided after less than a year they wanted a slide). Both of us think we got a good deal.

We used to always go to factory for service and fixes but for the last several years have gone to MOT and been very satisfied.

Good luck and if you did reach a deal I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours (we have put over 120,000 miles on it and we aren't full-timers).

P.S. We had a great orientation by grandson of Fore when we picked it up. In fact we spent hours and hours with them since I wanted to know how every single item worked and also have it demonstrated. I strongly encourage spending the night on site and really going over everything in detail. There is a lot of stuff to cover and it can seem overwhelming ... it was not our first Class A but first diesel and this one had lots more bells and whistles than our gasser.

Motorhomes of Texas and David Robertson, the owner, is first class. I have been there on two different ocassions to buy a motorhome while shopping for upgrades. Have not purchased one there yet, but not because of them. I count David Robertson as a personal Christian friend, and would trust anything he told me.
