I like your choice of tow vehicle.....and I live out west and tow a 22ft trailer and love it. If I had one upgrade to choose, it would be a full size fridge instead of the 3/4 size i have now (holds more fish). Any person who has a trailer truck and fly fishes is OK in my books !!!!.

Many Thanks to all that have replied so far. Also thanks for the fly fishing compliment. I've been at it for more than 30 years. Was heavily involved with Trout Unlimited here in the north east but have backed away a bit now. Got a little burned out. I was teaching both flyfishing and flytying as a fund raiser as a continuing ed course at a couple of local schools but stopped that a few years ago too. I think part of the reason I'm single now can be blamed on trout.

I have considered the Fun finders as there is a dealer near where I live that carries them. They also carry the Palomino's too so I'll have to make the trip over to visit. I've also been considering the Keystone Passport and the Jayco light weights. I have a brochure for the Lance trailers but the closest dealer in in central Ohio and would be a 5 hour drive just to take a look. There is a new one out there also named Ever Lite by a company named Evergreen that looks nice. I think thats the problem here, there are just too many to choose from. KZ, Rockwood, Forest River, Bigfoot, Heartland, My head is going to explode.

FYI, just moved from a boxy KZ Coyote 23 CS hybrid @ 4,664 empty/6300 gross to an Airstream Flying Cloud 28 ft @ 7,000 lbs. Fully loaded towing difference @ 70 mph on relatively level I-10 across TX, Coyote 11.8 mpg & Airstream 13.6 mpg and handling better, but tongue weight about 2x KZ. No noticeable difference on the hilly sections or in Rocky Mts. Will never justify AS on fuel mileage & could replace the Coyote 3-4 times for price of AS, but camping around the country for a three months this summer/fall (including unexpected zero temp experience in WY/SD), it was simply a "whole nother experience". Seriously considered Ever Lite (less than half price of AS), as quality of construction (not the frilly trim and cabinet hardware, but the way it is actually put together) looks really good; better than anything I have seen except AS, and its is not very heavy, but DW fell in love with AS and no further discussion was possible.

I've thought about the Airstreams too but can't justify the cost. I'm not going to be working much longer and need to be a bit more frugal than If I continued to work. There is an Evergreen dealer a couple of hours drive from my location and I intend to take a look soon. I was talking to my sister tonight and she and her husband were looking at Airstreams in Mertle Beach last week and she feel in love with them too. Feel a bit sorry for my brother in law cause I think this is going to get expensive.
