Just purchased a new Ford Edge FWD. Like the looks and ride how do those of you that are towing one like them? The procedure seems pretty simple. Any problems?

It is a bit heavy and I do feel it behind my gas coach but I absolutely love mine and the vista roof! My awd limited weighed in at 4200lbs at the weigh station.
Procedure couldn't get much easier. I just let it warm up for a few minutes while hooking up, put it in neutral, turn the key all the way back, and you're ready to go.

We just set up our 2007 Ford Edge as a dinghy this summer. First time we had anything behind our gas motorhome, and like the previous post, I can feel it a little back there too. Don't even notice it on flat grades. It towes great. Did 1,000 miles so far. Prior to the motorhome, I had a couple travel trailers, and never wanted to go back to the tension and white knuckle driving. Well, towing the dinghy is not that at all. Easy setup, including brake buddy.

Hi,
I have towed my Edge about 2,500 miles and it tows great.
I set up my own version of a braking system with a junkyard cruise control motor to pull the brake pedal to the floor with vacuum from the motorhome engine.
I am really happy with it, and I use a 6 wire connection from the RV to Edge, so I can have an extra brake +12 wire to the braking system.
I also installed diodes inside the rear lights, so that the motorhome turn signals turn on the turn signal lights, without back-feeding into the Edge wiring.
Hitching up is really easy. You need to take both keys on vacation, so the power door lock works with the key in the ignition, but the door mounted locking switch will not lock the doors with the key in the ignition.
I have a Roadmaster hitch that attaches to the car and the hitch bars stay on the motorhome. It makes really easy hitchup.
I also have a Roadmaster Tow Shield, to keep rocks and gravel from hitting the car, or at least the windshield and hood.

Thanks all for the responses.
Ours is a Front Wheel Drive only and is a SE model so it is about as light as it can be.
We did have a 2007 Saturn VUE that we towed for the last 2 1/2 years and it was good to tow but noisy, I think because of the plastic body panels, it also has had the computer and the ignition module replaced twice and it was starting to give the "lock out" warning again. So it had to go, cannot abide an unreliable vehicle.

We have a 2007 Edge AWD and have towed it for over 16K miles with no problems at all.
Hook up.
Set Even Brake.
Put it in Neutral.
Turn key all the way back.
Go.
I did not connect to the Edge's wiring and use auxilliary lights.
