Is it OK to have the slide out room partially extended or does it have to open all the way. I have it parked at the house but don't have enough space to open it all the way, maybe half way.

Would it hurt anything to leave it partially open for a little more walking room inside ? can't find anything in the manual.

Thanks
Jim

The onl;y problem might be taht it would not be sealed right and may allow bugs to get in or moisture.

I think you may have some leaks if it rains. Yes mine does have with wipers on it to deflect water, and it is sloped so the rain should run off, but it isn't sealed against the seals. The only time I leave it that way is for a few minutes when I need to get into it for something.

Agree with previous posters. Slide should be all the way in or all the way out or you will get water, bugs, dust and another place for rodents to get in. I have even seen squirells get into some areas I thought were too small for them. They were taking insulation and paper out of the RV for their nests.

There would be nothing wrong with opening it part way to load the trailer or for any other temporary reason but as others have said the only way to get a good weather or insect seal is fully open or closed.
