We bought this unit NOS this summer. We're on the way to Quartzsite AZ at the end of the month so I thought I'd practice lining up the Starchoice Sat TV at home for the 1st time prior to be embarrassed in the desert.
I set everything correctly but couldn't get a sat signal on my receiver. So I connected the cable directly to the receiver rather than using the coach's outside input connection (and inside output connection). I had great signal in about 30 secs of dish pointing.
So I knew all is good outside the unit-dish and cable. I connected the cable to the outside input and then tried 4 different cables inside the unit from the output connection to the receiver. Nothing.
The signal is not getting thru from the outside connection to the inside connection.
I phoned the dealer and was advised that there are two outside connections-one on the roof and one on the sidewall-both going into a splitter and then on to the inside connection. He sd either the cables are not connected or they're no good or the splitter is no good. Rather than fishing in the walls for cable etc he advised they just cut new holes outside and inside and install new bable and connectors.
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what the solution might be. Also, I see there's KZ dealers in Pahrump and Lake Havasu City...we're staying at both cities and could get this repaired at either one. Please advise if you've had experience with either and whether you were happy with it. thx

You did not give much information. However, most RVs have a cable TV connection on the outside some where. This connection will not work with sat input without some modifications inside. Basically you will have to wire around the amp inside the coach which is usually near you entertainment center. There are lots of ways to do this which you can find with searches. Otherwise just run another coax from sat dish to the receiver. The newer high end coaches will have to connections, one for sat and the other for cable TV.
Or just get someone at Quartzsite to help.

Yes, the unit has a seperate cable input - it's on the other side with the other services. Inside the unit I have two output connections - one for the sat tv and one for the cable and antenna with amplifier. I've used the non sat input/output b4 and it works fine-its the sat tv input output thats the problem.

EZLife I had a similar problem with my Vortex. The "cable in" connector on the street side of the rig has a cable that runs into the floor and "disappears". The signal was not getting to the hook up location in the TV cabinet. After pulling down the 12v antenna connection from the roof antenna in the TV cabinet, I found a splitter with several coax wires running to it. My rig also had a bulkhead coax fitting on the curb side, near the door, that I was able to determine ran to one of the fittings on the splitter. I placed a new coax fitting next to the 12v antenna plate and now hook up my SAT to the fitting near the door. I never was able to determine what happened to the other cable. Hope this makes a little sense.

EZ, there are now three possibilities in the works, sat attn input, park cable TV input, and TV attn input with 12V amp. You say you have a cable input and TV attn input, neither of which will work for the Sat attn input which in the end needs to go to your sat receiver. That also means that there are three possible inputs to the RV. If you are sure your are using the appropriate connections and the sat receiver does not work, and it works with a separate cable connection, then your internal cable has a break. You will just have to find it. Do you have a OHM meter? If so you can test for continuity from end to end of the offending cable and then proceed to check every connection that the cable passes through in it journey from the outside to the sat receiver. This also includes the ground shield. Or you do a work around with a new cable.
