I agree we need to give him a solution but like Jimmy said ..if the station is at fault they need to be accountable. By the way you may be able to rig up a 12 volt boat bildge pump to the fuel line somehow.

I haven't bought diesel in NY, but I've bought it in 36 other states and Canada and I believe the nozzel is small and will physically fit a gas tank.

an update i finally was able to brake through the screen and used a 1/4" hose to pump most of
the diesel out.. then i towed to station and filled with high octane gasoline. it started and ran about 10 sec. then i tried the starter
about 20 seconds, and it shut down... i only get
a clicking noise. i disconnected the batt. to
reset system , no help. i will tow to dealer
tomorrow to see what i need. it has 2800 miles
i really love my 30 year old SCOUT. THANKS for
the help. jerry

You know, I just can't keep my mouth shut when someone recommends pressurizing a fuel tank with an electrically powered device like an air compressor or leaf blower. Have you ever heard of the annual Darwin awards? Not to offend anyone here folks, but let's look at this from the standpoint of SAFETY. I have a firefighter/paramedic friend that tells horror stories about people trying these home remedies and ending up with a fire or explosion! Much better in my opinion to tow the disabled vehicle to your local GM dealer and have it repaired safely. No, it won't be cheap, but then, neither is a FUNERAL! (Gets down off of soapbox).....

new deal , they won't pay for starter. total cost
$566. they charged $26 ea to replace 6 plugs, does this sound normal???????

this chevy had 6007 miles on it. think about it
when you need a new one. $172 to change plugs.
