Can anyone tell me if there is a company that manufactures a fifth wheel 20 feet or under in length? Thanks

Off hand, I can't think of any. You might try looking at the Nash website and see what they have to offer.

Nash has a 22' but no slides. Wouldn't think there'd be much resale value in that. Titanium (www.glendalerv.com) has a 24' with one slide. Both have great quality and value for the price.

THE SPORTSMEN AND FRONTIER 5TH WHEELS ULTRA-LITE ARE BUILT BY K-Z --- FORGOT SHADOW CRUSIER ALSO BUILDS A SMALL LIGHT WEIGHT 5TH WHEEL.. THEY HAVE A WEB BUT I DON'T HAVE IT HANDY . THEY ARE AT BRISTOL,IN. THEY AGAIN DON'T BUILD ONE 20' BUT IS ALSO SOMETHING YOU MIGHT CONSIDER. THEIR NEWEST MODEL HAS A SLIDE . THE ONE I SAW AT THE PLANT , THE SLIDE WAS A MANUAL INTERIOR CRANKOUT. THANK YOU "BUBBA"

Carrotman, Thanks for the info. I was originally on a rant to buy a slide in camper. It'll just be my Honey and my Labrador when we take off to see the world. However, I'm a little shakey on the slide for fulltime living, not to mention the monster truck that heavy slides require. Was thinking that a "small" fifth wheel might be a good compromise, but want one that can negotiate the more remote spots that I'd like to spend time in. That means good clearance and, well you get it! Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks to all.

Riever,

You might want to rethink about buying such a small trailer for full timing. You will find over time that that small trailer will just keep getting smaller and smaller. At least a slide will give you some breathing room.

fifthe wheel ;;The 5th wheels 24' and under can be pulled by any 1/2 tom truck , they are great to handle down the road , CG parking anywhere . They are low-profile and again look at as many " Ultra - Lites " as you can . As I've said BIGGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER . We own a Aerolite unloaded under 3500# LOOK - LOOK and LOOK ...... THANK YOU

Thank you all. My intention is to full time for a couple of years...with very good company that I don't mind "bumping into" my Sweetie and my Lab. Want to be able to get into some remote places and dry camp. That's why I was originally thinking of a slide in; but now think that would be just too small. A small 5th. wheel seems large in comparison and would hopefully allow access to more remote spots. Please keep your thoughts/suggestions coming. Thanks again.
