Howdy Folks
This is my first time at this site and I'm glad to be here.
I have a 12000lb RBW fiver hitch and want to put on a set of airbags, not Bill & Hillery, anyway has anyone ran into a problem of the fiver brackets getting in the way of the airbag brackets? If so is there a cure?
Thanks and Take Care
Dave

I had a 1985 F350 CC, DRW with a Rbw hitch I installed Air Lift 5000# bags on it and had no problem with the mounting brackets for the hitch to frame. I have a 2001 F350 with a Reese and did
have a problem with the brackets for that hitch. Air Lift is very helpful on there 800 tech number with any questions. Also PullRite makes a two way piviot replacement for the single RBW. Camping World.

I have the RBW 15K hitch and had airbags put on after the hitch was already in. The shop had them done in 2 hours....no problem...but my truck is a 2000 model.

Not sure I'm much help. Just make sure you have a reliable truck shop install them.

I dont know about the RWB hitch, however there can be conflicts with the hitch brackets and airbag brackets.

I have heard a couple solutions:
* Notch the airbag brackets where they interfere
* Shim the airbag brackets to avoid interference
* redesign/refabricate either bracket

I will be putting Airlifts on my shortbed soon.

To my loving wife:
"I dont love you because I need you. I need you because I love you".

My wife used to give me $1.00/workday for lunch. After a long argument, I won. Now she gives me $5.00 every Monday.

I just got done installing AirLift Bags on my 2001 F350 CC,DRW, had to shim the bag brackets out the same thickness as the Reese frame brackets. Works great AirLift sugested that would be the way to go. All you need is 8" between the frame and the wheel and you will have more than enough room. Call AiLift for install help if needed they are great.
